Invisalign:

The Invisalign is completely transparent and does not appear while speaking or smiling, and this represented a solution to one of the biggest problems the patient faces when thinking about using a traditional calendar.

Placing the Invisalign on teeth takes many steps, as these steps are:

  1. Placing Invisalign starts with the patient consulting the dentist who is a specialist in this major, the dentist then values the teeth and the smile to put an accurate and personal therapeutic plan.
  2. After the patient’s agreement, the dentist designs the patient’s own brace.
  3. The patient wears every set of designed braces for a period ranges from 20-22 hours during the day, with the necessity of changing the brace’s set to a new set every 1-2 weeks according to the dentist’s instructions.

  6. The patient should know about the un-comfort feeling during wearing the new set of braces during the first few days, but this pain is temporal and disappears fast, where this feeling is considered normal and indicates the changing in teeth positions and having the wanted result.
What makes the Invisalign special comparing with other types of transparent braces?

The Invisalign is considered one of the most modern techniques in orthodontics as it straightens, restructures, positioning, and directions of the teeth and fixing all imbalances from all sides of the tooth, it’s called “Invisalign” because -unlike the ordinary brace- it’s considered invisible and is placed and taken off easily to save the mouth appearance and the beautiful smile during the treatment period.

Invisalign gave the latest technology in the major of studying the teeth brace condition on the computer and enabling the patient to see the treatment method and the future of the case previously through the 3D videos of the case.

Cases that require the Invisalign

There are many dental problems that need to be treated using orthodontics, including the following:

  • Suffering from biting problems or pressure on the teeth
  • In the case of the crowded teeth, which are closely adjacent in the mouth what changes their positions and normal order
  • Divergent teeth which have large distances among them, the thing that leads the patient to suffer a lot.
  • Crooked and irregular teeth in any other way.
What after the Invisalign?

The Invisalign is considered one of the fast-resulting techniques, which starts to see the light 6-18 months or less depending on the condition and complexity of the teeth.

After this period is ended the amazing results immerge on the teeth that look more consistent, although the matter did not end there, the patient should wear the Invisalign during sleep time after the treatment is finished to maintain the previous results.

The candidates to use the Invisalign technique:

The good point is that there is no age limit to use the Invisalign, is not linked to a specific age, but it can be used either for your young child or for a person over fifty years of age, as long as the patient’s health and case are good then there are no age limits.

Many people need orthodontics treatment, however, their social status and practical life don’t allow them to show metal wires when they smile, like businessmen, the regular brace may be a psychological obstacle to a teenage patient prevents him from developing psychologically and socially appropriately, then the Invisalign is the most suitable solution.

In spite of that, Invisalign did not succeed in solving all dental problems that are more complex than the usual asymmetric teeth, like the gums’ problems or the problem of the jaw disproportionate to the size and number of teeth in it, but the teeth spaces and irregular teeth' problems can be solved easily.

Is it painful?

It’s common that the patient suffers from temporal pressure feeling and light discomfort when wearing the Invisalign in each phase of the treatment. Discomfort, which disappears in few days, is a sign that the brace tools are doing their job.

The correct way to clean the Invisalign:

Remove the brace when eating, and wash it with lukewarm water, taking care to remove all impurities, bacteria, and food residues stuck in it.

Avoid washing your Invisalign brace in hot water, as it becomes useless when you put it back on your teeth.

Soap and water should be used to clean the brace, and it is preferable to use a soft toothbrush in the cleaning process in order to reach all the cracks of the Invisalign templates where bacteria may collect.

It is preferable to soak the Invisalign template with water and a special lotion to sterilize it from any impurities and repeat this process daily.

Do not use toothpaste to clean Invisalign template, it is made for teeth only, so you must use a special lotion.

Teeth should be cleaned every time the brace is removed in order to prevent the accumulation of bacteria and germs inside the mouth and thus the spread of bad odor.

What are the recommendations that should be followed in order the Invisalign to be effective?

To make the treatment successful, it’s recommended to wear the Invisalign for at least 22 hours a day, although it can be removed at specific times.
